Gerrard: Barcelona dreams Coutinho, but hopefully he survives
Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard admits that a possible play for Barcelona will make Philippe Coutinho tempted. But he hopes the Brazilian playmaker will stay at Anfield. Coutinho's name has indeed been much associated with his move to the Camp Nou. Barcelona is said to want to make the former Inter Milan player as a replacement for Neymar who recently joined PSG.
The latest news says that between Barcelona with Coutinho has a personal agreement, and Blaugrana camp is called ready to spend more than 100 million pounds. "This is a dream for Latin American players to play in Barcelona, I've experienced before, either as a fan or a player, with the situation of Javier Mascherano and Luiz Suarez," he explained. "This is a very difficult situation for the club to get involved in it," he said. "The good thing from the point of view of Liverpool is that the coach is keen to keep him and the owner wants him to survive.
This is not a situation where Liverpool need money or need cash We are not a seller club so they will do everything to keep it," he added. "But it depends on Coutinho and his decision, what he prepared, what kind of warfare he will prepare because Liverpool will not make it easy, I pray he endures,"
